Audubon,
We invite you to join us for the Birdathon Celebration
Dinner, June 2nd –6 pm,
Brazilian Room at Tilden
Regional Park. Please be sure to RSVP by May 21st. This event will be sold out and no admissions
will be allowed at the door.
As a valued supporter of Golden Gate Audubon, we invite you
to join us for Birdathon 2010, our flagship fundraising event that, this year,
has brought together the local birding community to count birds and support
Golden Gate Audubon programs. We are now at the halfway point of the counting
period, and we have received many exciting reports from teams about the
numerous species discovered all around the Bay Area!
We would be delighted for you to attend our celebratory
dinner on June 2, 2010 in Tilden
Park’s Brazilian Room at
6:00 pm. We expect an exciting and
enjoyable evening meant to reward Birdathon participation and recognize our Birdathon
counting and fundraising success.
This special event will feature delicious food from local
Kensington caterer, The Arlington, accompanied by Rosenblum and Barefoot
Cellars wines and other beverages. There will also be an awards ceremony for
the various prize categories, a silent
auction featuring birding and wine country getaways, recreational
adventures, a selection of optics from Scope City,
and much more! Come prepared – we have
some great auction items.
As part of our thanks, the dinner is free to our
hard-working Birdathon participants who have actively brought in pledges to raise
needed funds. To ensure that their hard work supports our
restoration and conservation effort fully, we suggest that all other Golden
Gate Audubon supporters and community members who wish to attend make a
donation of $30 to cover our food costs.
Please RSVP if you will attend the Birdathon dinner by May 21st (we
need an accurate food count). You can

We are so glad to host an event that not only celebrates

Golden Gate Audubon is dedicated to protecting Bay
Area birds, other wildlife, and their natural habitats. We conserve and
restore wildlife habitats, connect people of all ages and backgrounds
with the natural world, and educate and engage Bay Area residents in
the protection of our shared, local environment.
Golden Gate Audubon is an independent, nonprofit
organization with its own membership, budget and programs. Although we
are a chapter of National Audubon, becoming a Supporting Member of
Golden Gate Audubon is separate and distinct from membership in the
National Audubon Society. Golden Gate Audubon Supporting Members
receive The Gull newsletter, and play a critical role in protecting local birds and their habitats.
